DaVinci Resolve – Speed up that sluggish Timeline

When working in the EDIT part of DaVinci Resolve I can find it hard to zoom in and out of the timeline.

You drag the lever to zoom in and nothing happens, then the timeline jumps and you have zoomed in to much. Drag it again and you are zoomed out to far. This is especially true when you work with projects with many edits.

But I found a solution and it’s very simple. Turn of the Thumbnails in the Timeline!

Select the icon in the bottom left of the screen

And turn of the Thumbnails in the Timeline.

Now you have a speedy Timeline and you don’t need to get frustrated anymore.
